TalkNorwichCity finally has a website, and I'm super excited for it!

I begin to write this status as I sit at my desk in my ‘studio’ on January 9th, 2017. It’s been about 4 years since I started TalkNorwichCity and wow, what a journey it has been. From being spat at by Ipswich fans on the way back from Portman Road, to the elation of Wembley, to being asked for the first time for a selfie, talking Norwich City over a lunch with Jake Humphrey, going pitch side at Carrow Road with Simon Thomas for a Sky broadcast to the horrible feeling of documenting relegation.

Whenever I get asked why I started TalkNorwichCity people expect a complex answer, but it’s simple. I started it because I wanted to see and hear what fans thought, fan driven content had just started and I wanted Norwich City to have their small bit in the action. Nobody was doing it so I done it myself. We had the local news outlets, Radio Norfolk and other establishments doing their bit but we had nothing in terms of video. TNC was born.

The one thing I didn’t expect when I started my YouTube channel though is how powerful fan content would be a few years down the line. We now live in an age where ArsnealFanTV captures just as much interest as BT Sport and the mainstream media are now relying on fans more than ever to drive attention their way. When you look at it though, it kind of makes sense. Would you rather listen to a fan who watches your team week in week out on the terraces or an ex-pro talk about your club which he may have watched twice over a season. I know what I prefer.

TalkNorwichCity is now in a healthy position, it’s captured the attention of many, watched hundreds of thousands of times a month and is my main source of income meaning I can invest the time I think it deserves.

However the dream has always been to expand, it’s never been to stick solely to video on YouTube. That’s where my strength lies but who wants to stick in with their comforts? Not me. It’s time to grow, it’s time to get more people on board, it’s time to keep giving fans a voice and make sure them voices are heard. We’re the reason football exists, we’re the reason clubs turn over millions of pounds a year. Lets make sure we get a good deal out of this too!

Anyway, I guess this is my way of saying, welcome to talknorwichcity.com – stick about for more content following the best club in the world!

Peace out,
